The troubles of TMC MP Mahua Moitra, who is facing allegations of taking bribe and asking questions in Parliament (Cash For Query), are increasing.
In this matter, she has to appear before the Lok Sabha’s Ethics Committee on Thursday (November 2).
Before that, big information has come to light regarding Mahua’s Parliament account.
According to the sources related to this matter, TMC MP Mahua Moitra’s Lok Sabha account was logged in from Dubai 47 times.
BJP MP from Godda, Jharkhand, Nishikant Dubey had accused Mahua Moitra of taking bribe to raise questions in Parliament and sharing her Lok Sabha account credentials (login ID and password) with businessman Darshan Hiranandani.
Dubey’s allegation is that Mahua took huge bribe and expensive gifts from Hiranandani in return for asking questions and sharing the login ID.
TMC MP Mahua Moitra admitted that she had shared her log-in credentials with Hiranandani.
Mahua Moitra describes her as an old friend of Darshan Hiranandani. But she has denied that she had received money for this. The TMC MP has insisted that the questions asked in Parliament were always his own.
BJP MP Nishikant Dubey has accused Moitra of compromising the national interest by sharing the login and password of her parliamentary portal with an outsider. He has demanded action against the TMC MP.
For this, he has cited the agreement signed by the MPs to keep the details of the Lok Sabha account confidential.
Nishikant Dubey referred to the media reports on Wednesday in which it was said that he logged in 47 times from Hiranandani’s place in Dubai and the same number of questions were asked in the Parliament. BJP MP wrote on social media platform Are MPs there to promote interests?
The Ethics Committee has taken help from the Union Home Ministry and Information Technology (IT) Ministry to investigate the matter.
Both the ministries have also submitted their reports to the committee. It is believed that the committee has got answers to many questions from these reports.
Mahua Moitra’s troubles have increased due to the affidavit signed by businessman Darshan Hiranandani. In his explosive confession, Hiranandani has admitted to getting access to Moitra’s Lok Sabha account and giving bribe to her. So that she can ask questions to target Adani Group and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
However, Mahua Moitra has claimed that the government has forced Hiranandani to file the affidavit.
