There has been a big Naxalite attack in Dantewada of Chhattisgarh. 11 soldiers have been martyred in this attack.
There was an IED attack on a vehicle carrying the District Reserve Guard (DRG) force at Aranpur in Dantewada.
Martyred soldiers include 10 DRG soldiers and a driver. According to sources, DRG jawans had gone on operation yesterday. While returning from there, Naxalites attacked.
Regarding the attack, CM Bhupesh Baghel said that the Naxalites will not be spared. This incident is very sad. Our fight against Naxalites is in the final stage. Naxalism will be rooted out in a planned manner.
According to the information, after this attack, the police have gharaoed the Naxalites. The encounter operation is still going on. It is being told that more force has been called.
Bastar IG Sundarraj said that Naxalites have blown up a vehicle full of soldiers with IED in Palnar area of Aranpur. There is news of two ambulances being dispatched on the spot.
The attack pattern of Naxalites has not changed at all. When the soldiers came to the Naxalites’ area, the Naxalites ambushed and attacked.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah talked to CM Baghel regarding this attack. He has assured all possible help from the Centre. In 2017-18, the central government had given Rs 92 crore to Chhattisgarh to deal with Naxalism, which was increased to Rs 140 crore in 2020-21.
However, despite this, Chhattisgarh is at the top in terms of maximum deaths.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah was in Bastar in March this year, but he had also reached Sukma, which is considered to be a stronghold of Naxalites, without prior planning.
He met the soldiers there. After this he reached a government school in a village and started teaching children there.
Meanwhile former CM of the state Raman Singh attacked Bhupesh Baghel regarding this attack.
He said that this is a cowardly attack, but after every attack, Baghel says the same thing and even after that a bigger attack happens. He said that no concrete steps are being taken against Naxalism. Intensive searching should be done continuously because along with soldiers, civilians are also being killed in such attacks.
He said that until the operation against Naxalites is not conducted in coordination with the states, this problem will not end.
