A two and a half year old child died by drowning in the water of the pond while collecting litchi.
This tragic and heartbreaking incident took place on Wednesday morning in the area of North Sonaichari under Bilonia Police Station in South Tripura District.
The deceased child identified as Anuj Das. Father Liton Das. Family members broke into tears after this incident.
According to the report the pond is near the house. The Litchi tree is beside the pond. When the people of the house werere busy with their own work in the morning, then the kid fell into the pond while collecting litchi from the bank of the pond.
The family members and grandmother started searching for Anuj.
After coming near the pond, uncle Sadhan Das saw the body of the kid floating in the pond.
