The curse of Illegal child and underage marriage grips Tripura which dangerously increasing in this small state of india.
From 1st November to 7th November 2023, 11 child, underage girls are rescued from different areas of Rajnagar block under Bilonia Subdivision and sent to one stop center.
All these child, underage girls are somehow abused by their family and relatives or forced to marry at an early age, where their opinions did not matter.
Due to the administrative action against these unjust acts, the girls are going to get a beautiful new life after being saved from social degradation.
The girls rescued in the administrative action are from Ghosh Khamar, Mundapara, Gabtali Sadhupara, Rajnagar Electric Office, Gabtali Supri Khala, Ekinpur BSF Para, Kamalpur, Barpathari Hetalia, Batisa Colony, Niharnagar, Chottakhala and Rajnagar Muslimpara area.
All of them are between 13-15 years old. The administrative activities of the sub-divisional administration have shown the light of a new life to these minor girls.
According to the National Family Health Survey-5, 40.1 percent of women aged 20–24 years were married before the age of 18 years in Tripura — the third highest after West Bengal (41.6 percent) and Bihar (40.8 percent).
