From the morning of Diwali, the Tripureshwari temple of Matabari was crowded with visitors and pilgrims.
Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha participated in the Ganga Aarti on the bank of Kalyan Sagar at 5:30 pm on Diwali at Tripura Sundari Temple.
State Finance Minister Pranjit Singh Roy, Matabari Diwali Mela Committee Chairman and MLA Abhishek Deb Roy, Minister Shuklacharan Noatia, Tourism Department Minister Sushanta Chowdhury and others were also present there.
Later Diwali Mela 2023 was auspiciously inaugurated by the Chief Minister of the state.
The Chief Minister auspiciously started the fair by lighting the lamp at Dhanya Manikya Mukta Manch located at the corner of Kalyan Sagar.
Speaking in the program CM said:
” Dewali Festival of Matabari become the instance of communal harmony. This is one of the biggest festival of the state where visitors from north east states and Bangladesh also take participate”
” Centering this temple the area become tourist spot and the area is changing and developing”
” Under the Central Government PRASAD project state government is developing the religious places and temples”
