Chief Minister inaugurated the Law College in Jirania on Friday.
The college has been established under ppp model.

“This is a new step taken by the present government to increase the opportunities for the students of the state in Law sector”
On the other hand foundation stone laying and Bhumi Pooja for construction of multi-level car parking cum commercial complex in PPP model under Smart City project at Old Motor Stand in the capital Agartala held on Friday.
Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha performed Bhumi Puja on this day. Later he unveiled the plaque and laid the foundation stone.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said that this type of multi-level car parking cum commercial complex is being constructed for the first time in the North Eastern region.
“This is a matter of pride. Traffic congestion is a big problem. Vehicles are increasing with development. So a plan is needed for vehicle parking. Earlier vehicles were parked everywhere” he said
“So the initiative to construct multi level car parking cum commercial complex has been taken. On the one hand, vehicles can be parked in multi-level car parking cum commercial complex, on the other hand, many people can earn money by doing business in the commercial complex, the Chief Minister said.
This multi-level car parking cum commercial complex will be constructed within three years. The State Government will not spend any money for the construction of this multi-level car parking cum commercial complex. This space is leased for 30 years. The concerned company can extend the contract after 30 years, the Chief Minister said.
“The beauty of Agartala city is gradually increasing. In the coming days, Agartala city will become one of the cities in the North-Eastern region. The state of Tripura is currently developing more than other states. The national highway from Churaibari to Agartala is being made four lane. 6 national highways are in progress. The central government has approved 7 more national highways. The central government has approved four roofways. The central government has sanctioned about Rs 10, 222 crore for all these works” he said.
