Apart from serving the country, soldiers of the 21st Battalion of Assam Rifles also came forward for the blood donation camp.
On Monday, a mega blood donation camp was organized by Sector 21 of Agartala Battalion of Assam Rifles.
Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated this blood donation camp. Youth Affairs Sports Minister Tinku Roy, Mayor AMC Dipak Majumdar, Sector 21 Assam Rifles Brigadier and others were present in the camp.
“Donating blood is a noble duty. If a person donates blood, at least four people get benefit. Assam Rifles was established in 1949. Since that time Assam Rifles has come forward in social work besides serving the country. The role of Assam Rifles is important against drug addiction” said CM.
The Chief Minister expressed hope that their initiative will continue to build a drug-free Tripura.
Later Chief Minister along with others visited blood donation camp and encouraged blood donors.
More than 100 Assam Rifles jawans voluntarily donated blood in this camp.
