The Chief Minister of Tripura Dr Manik Saha reached Delhi on Sunday with a bunch of administrative and party related programs.
During the visit, the Chief Minister will meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari and several Union Ministers.
The Chief Minister will hold consultations with the Union Ministers on various ongoing projects and new projects of the state.
Chief Minister Dr. Saha will again meet Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari in Delhi to expedite work on national highways.
A few days ago he held a review meeting with Gadkari in Guwahati on the progress of National Highways.
In that meeting, the Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha drew the attention of the Union Road Transport Minister by raising the issues on National Highway Projects in the North Eastern region.
The Chief Minister requested to designate Champaknagar to Udaipur via Khumulung and Jampuizla (National Highway No. 8 is 40 km long, Kamalpur (No. 8) to Shantirbazar via Ambasa (No. 8), Gandatuisa-Amarpur (No. 208) is 148 km long, Amarpur (No. 208) to Udaipur (No. 8) 24 km road, 17.25 km road from Shantirbazar to Bilonia as National Highway.
These roads will provide alternative communication facility to various districts, sub-divisions, blocks, markets, tourist places and populated areas of the state. The Chief Minister is again facing Nitin Gadkari.
Meanwhile, according to BJP sources, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha will hold a meeting with BJP All India Organization General Secretary BL Santosh.
Chief Minister will consult with Santosh about the complete picture of the current organizational situation of the ruling party.
According to the media reports several changes and reshuffles at the organizational level are going to happen in the coming days. There is a possibility of change of president in dozens of mandals. The top level of the organization is also undergoing a reshuffle.
It is said that the Chief Minister’s upcoming meeting with Santhosh will discuss the whole issue. Recently seven state presidents of BJP have been made chairman of various boards. As they move into administrative duties, the scramble to bring in new faces has begun. Newbies are being brought in as presidents of morchas very soon.
Meanwhile, with the aim of more empowerment of ADC, the Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha will meet with other ministers including Union Home Minister.
It is said that the chief minister will also share the picture of the implementation of various projects of ADC in the court of the centre. Recently Tipra Matha supremo Pradyot Kishore Debbarman drew the Chief Minister’s attention about the financial condition of the ADC.
As far as it is known, during his visit to Delhi CM Manik Saha will also draw the attention of the central government in this regard.
Besides, the Chief Minister is likely to hold consultations with the BJP top leadership with a view to determining the party equation with Motha in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
