A review meeting was held on Saturday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Traffic Management of City Agartala.
In the meeting held in the meeting room No. 2 of the Civil Secretariat, the steps taken to control the traffic, future plans and various initiatives were discussed in a wide range.
In view of that, the decision was also taken. The issue of parking management and traffic congestion in Agartala city area dominates the discussion.
In the meeting, the Chief Minister said that the traffic in the state is increasing every day. But the road remains the same. So it is necessary to plan on possible aspects of road widening Traffic management needs to be strengthened to control road congestion.
He emphasized on strict adherence to traffic management rules. Commissioner of Agartala Municipal Corporation Dr. Shailesh Kumar Yadav discusses the possible aspects of parking management in Agartala city area.
Traffic Police Superintendent Manik Das also discussed traffic management in detail in the meeting.
In the meeting, Chief Secretary JK Sinha, Director General of State Police Amitabh Ranjan, Chief Minister’s Secretary Dr. Pradeep Kumar Chakraborty, Secretary of Urban Development Department Abhishek Singh, District Magistrate of West Tripura Dr. Vishal Kumar, Chief Minister’s OSD Parmananda Sarkar Banerjee and other senior officials were present.
