College Admission Scam: Fraudstar From Udaipur Accused Of Embezzling Crores Of Rupees

A youth has been accused of embezzling Rs 5 crore in the name of college admission outside the state of Tripura.

About 30 students from Sonamura under South Tripura District have been cheated. Another students who are cheated belongs from Udaipur. As soon as the incident came to light, the parents stages agitation and lodged Complaint against the fraudster.

The fraudstar identified as Azhar Kazi of Udaipur under Gomati District.

Alleging against him guardian of a girl student from Boxnagar said that he took money from her in the name of admission in D.Pharma in Bangalore.

On May last the youth grabbed Rs 1.5 lakh. But the woman suspected him for not giving any receipt of money. The fraudstar said that when the admission time comes in August, the remaining amount will be paid to the college. 

Accordingly, the woman went to Bangalore in August. After visiting the college, the fraudster demanded an additional Rs 10 to 12 lakh from the woman along with donation.

The woman clearly stated that she will not study her daughter with such huge donation. After that the cheater takes them to another college. 

She went there and gave more money to the fraudster Azar Kazi. After getting admission in the college, the woman came back in Tripura. 

On December 30 last year, the girl was expelled from the college for non-payment of money . After that, the woman called the cheater and told him to get admission her daughter in B.Pharma. 

As the guardian of the student warned of strict action, the fraudstar managed to admit the girl in another college.

 But even there, the college informed that it would not be possible to keep the girl due to non-payment of money. 

Allegedly , Azar Kazi stole about Rs five crore from various students of Udaipur, Boxnagar and Dhanpur areas. 

Finally, students and parents filed a case against the fraudstar at Radha Kishorepur police station on Tuesday. 

But as they went to the police station they found that there is already cases against the accused fraudster Azhar Kazi since 2018. 

He is currently absconding. The police have started an investigation to arrest him.
