Congress Once Again Demands JPC To Probe Adani Issue

 

Billionaire businessman Gautam Adani’s elder brother has reportedly resigned as director of three companies. 

On this, the Congress said on Wednesday that an inquiry by a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) on the Adani issue is necessary to present the truth to the people. 

Party general secretary Jairam Ramesh said Congress is waiting for the report of Supreme Court (SC) appointed expert committee on ‘Adani scam’, but says its work limited to violations of securities laws and lacks formal judicial authority over various regulatory and investigative agencies.


Ramesh said in a statement that it is learned from the news that Vinod, Gautam Adani’s elder brother, has given three companies closely related to Adani Group’s port and mining projects in Australia. Resigned from the post of Director.
