Union State Minister Pratima Bhowmik congratulated and thanked the Prime Minister for passing the Women’s Reservation Bill.
Parliament recently passed the much awaited 33 percent reservation bill for women.
Speaking in a program at Ambassa Town Hall under Dhalai district , Union Minister of State Pratima Bhowmik said, if women are given responsibility, corruption will be much less. Many roles have been played by women in the country from time to time.
Women’s Reservation Bill is a precedent not only for India but for the whole world. Women will play a policy-making role not only in three-tier Panchayats, Zilla Parishads, Nagar Panchayats, but also in Legislative Assembly, Lok Sabha, she said.
She also said that the country will move forward at a fast pace. will be prosperous. It is a huge success for the women of the country as the reservation bill is passed. Many women fought for this bill.
