Cyclone ‘Midhili’ Destroyed Acres Of Standing Crop In Tripura

Due to the affect of deep depression, cyclone ‘Midhili’ from the Bay of Bengal, torrential rains and gale force winds started across the state from early morning on Friday in Tripura.

As a result, farmers have to face losses. Due to untimely rains, the paddy of the land has been destroyed.

The same is the case with the winter crops. All in all, the farmers have suffered a lot.

Due to this natural calamity all the paddy was destroyed. As a result, the farmers are facing huge financial loss.

All the farmers whose only livelihood is agriculture are now disoriented.

However, due to this natural calamity, the farmers whose crops have been destroyed will be compensated according to the rules of the state government, the Chief Minister of the state, Prof. Dr. Manik Saha, said in a notification on his social media .

Agriculture Minister Ratan Lal Nath has also directed the officials of the department to extend hand of cooperation to the affected farmers.

Apart from this farmers of Bilonia, Shantirbazar under South Tripura District faces huge loss.

Crop in Jirania, Ranirbazar under West Tripura District and Teliamura under Khowai district completely destroyed due to the affect of Cyclone ‘Mithili’.
