Keeping weather condition in mind, the Tripura state government has decided to close all public and private schools and Anganwadi centers on Saturday.
Chief Minister Manik Saha made this announcement on Friday night. Later, the matter of closure of the school was published in the form of notification from the education department.
The Chief Minister said on social media that according to the report of the Meteorological Department, due to the impact of Cyclone ‘Midhili’, a maximum warning message has been issued for heavy rains with lightning in various districts of the state on Friday and Saturday. The state administration is fully committed to deal with this situation. Realizing the importance of the potential situation to protect life and property, the state government has decided to close all public and private schools and Anganwadi centers on Saturday.
The Chief Minister appealed to the people of all parts of the state to remain calm and cooperate with the government and take precautions.
To ensure the safety of students in the ongoing weather, it has been decided to close the school on Saturday, the Education Department said.
