The gap of dearness allowance between central and Tripura state government employees continues to widen.
The double engine government shows no signs of reducing this huge gap. So far in the current calendar year, teachers and employees of the state have not received even one percent DA.
They are also very doubtful whether the employees will get DA, DR in this calendar year.
Recently, the central government has increased the DA for employees and pensioners at the rate of 4 percent. DR announced. Although this new rate D was announced on 27 October, its effect is notified from 1 July.
So Its gap has increased to 26 percent between State and central government employees.
Because, central government employees and pensioners are now getting 46 percent DA and DR. Government employees-teachers in Tripura are getting 20 per cent DA and DR.
During the Left Front government, DA and DR increments were done twice a year. Three percent increment once a year was mandatory. Now employees and pensioners do not get DA-DR twice a year, even once.
After the BJP coalition government came to power, the government’s policy on DA-DR has also changed.
As promised, the salaries of the state employees were not paid as per the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission. The first BJP government gave DA-DR only 3 times in 5 years.
Ahead of assembly elections State government announced a 12 percent DA together, sparking outrage.
Then state employees said the rate of DA- DR for pensioners stood at 20 percent. It was announced in December last year. Then another December is coming. But so far the state government has not given one percent DA.
