Dassault Aviation Hasn’t Fulfilled Offset Obligations In Rafale deal: CAG Said In Parliament

The manufacturers of the Rafale – French aerospace major Dassault Aviation – and European missile maker MBDA have not yet fulfilled their offset obligations of offering high technology to India as per the original deal” the Comptroller and Auditor General of india said inthe Parliament. “Dassault and MBDA had proposed in September 2015 to discharge 30 per cent of their offset obligations by providing top-class technology to the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). However, both firms are yet to follow through on that” said CAG. The first batch of five Rafale jets arrived in India on July 29 but the machines were officially inducted into the force on September 10 at the Ambala air force base.
