Dead Body Mutilated In Dharmanagar Hospital Morgue. Complaint Lodged

One eye is missing and cheek is cut after post-mortem at the hospital of the person who died in a road accident. 

Alleging this, the family members of the deceased stages protest agitation in the Dharmanagar District Hospital. 

A written complaint has been lodged with the Dharmanagar police station on behalf of the family. They demanded that the police should re-post-mortem the bodies and punish the culprits.

A family member of the deceased said that Samesh Roy was seriously injured in a road accident in Panisagar on Friday afternoon. He was rescued and taken to Dharmanagar district hospital. But he died that night. 

After the death, the family members appealed to the police and doctors to take his body home from the hospital. 

But the police did not hand over the body to the family due to legal reasons. 

Police sent the body to Dharmanagar Hospital morgue for post-mortem. 

On Saturday morning, the family members went to bring the dead body from the hospital. After the post-mortem, the family members noticed that one eye was missing on the right side of the body and several parts of the cheek were cut. 

Besides, fresh blood was also coming out from that place. When the family asked about this, the police informed them that after the post-mortem at night, the body turned out like this. 

In that incident, the family members raised an uproar at the Dharmanagar District Hospital for some time. 

The family members lodged a written complaint in the incident at the Dharmanagar police station.

They demand that Samesh Ray’s post-mortem should be conducted again. They also demanded that the police should properly investigate the incident and punish the culprits. Later, the police handed over the body to the family.
