Delhi Service Bill To Be Presented In Rajya Sabha On Monday

The politically contentious Delhi Service Bill has been passed in the Lok Sabha during the Monsoon Session of Parliament.

Now this bill will be presented in Rajya Sabha on Monday. Congress and Aam Aadmi Party are opposing this bill.

This is the reason that both the parties have issued whip for their Rajya Sabha MPs. Congress and AAP have asked their Rajya Sabha MPs to be present in the House.

Regarding the Delhi Services Bill, the Congress has issued a three-line whip to its Rajya Sabha MPs to be present in the House on August 7.

Along with this, the Aam Aadmi Party has also issued a whip for its Rajya Sabha MPs for August 7 and 8.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will present the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (Amendment) Bill, 2023 in the Rajya Sabha on Monday.

The Delhi Services Bill will replace the ordinance on regulation of services in the national capital. It has been listed in the Rajya Sabha agenda on Monday.

The Bill has been listed for final consideration after the Question Hour.

Amit Shah will move the Rajya Sabha to consider and pass the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi Act, 1991 and the amendment bill passed by the Lok Sabha.
