Again, a huge quantity of contraband drug Phensedyl has been seized in Bazarichara of Churaibari.
It is known that on the basis of secret information, Police of Churaibari became active.
Meanwhile on the way from Guwahati to Tripura, a fourteen-wheeler lorry loaded with potato number RJ04GB3615 was found at the Churaibari gate.
Police searched the truck and seized twelve thousand and five hundred bottles of Phensedyl in different cartons from the special chamber under rows of potato sacks.
The black market value of the contraband drug is approximately Rs 1 Crore.
The lorry driver has been arrested. His name is Chena Ram from Rajasthan. The police have started investigation by taking a case under NDPS act.
Incidentally, it is mentioned that after reaching Tripura, drugs are smuggled to Bangladesh.
