All India Democratic Women’s Association AIDWA Tripura unit also took participate in the meeting.
Speaking in the meeting veteran AIDWA leader Rama Das said:
” Dignity of Women is under threat across the country. Dignity of girls is being spoiled today. But there is no initiative of solution. Government yet to play role. The word of judgment cries out in silence”
“women’s rights have been undermined during the BJP and IPFT coalition government in the state of Tripura in the last five years. Scarcity has become extreme level in the tribal areas. Unemployed youths are looking for work. Which has come to light in the results of the recently concluded assembly elections. The government could not kept any of the promises it made in 2018. This government is based only on immorality. They win this election by various methods. Now the government is charging people to celebrate victory rallies. Otherwise people’s houses are trying to be occupied”.
” After March 2, law and order in Tripura has deteriorated drastically. On the occasion of Women’s Day today, people will judge this government by taking oath from this program” she added .
