Opposition leader Manik Sarkar stated that Tripura seems to be under a one-party rule over the spate of political skirmishes in the state. A delegation of Communist Party of India (Marxist) or CPI (M) MLAs met Governor Ramesh Bais on Monday to discuss the matter, and the former Tripura CM criticised the BJP-IPFT government in the state, terming that they handed state over to miscreants. The Left MLAs led by Manik Sarkar met the Governor to discuss the current situation and the rise in the number of attacks on opposition leaders and activists. “Since the BJP government came to power, we have met government ministers and chief ministers on various issues, but it did not work out so we rushed to meet the Governor to apprise on the situation in hand,” Sarkar said. Do you feel proud for this government? Asks Manik Sarkar to the Governor. The opposition leader also said since the coming in of the present government 17 to 18 activists were killed and unclaimed bodies are being found in different parts of the state almost daily. “Murders are happening regularly.
