Doctors Of IGM Hospital On Strike Demanding Pendings

Post graduate trainee doctors of All India NBEMS Diploma Cours, working in IGM Hospital have not been getting stipend for the last five months.

The medical superintendent of the hospital has been informed about this matter several times, but he is not taking necessary steps.

Therefore, the doctors have announced not to work on Friday demanding payment of stipend.

As a result, there has been some disruption in medical services in the hospital.

The agitating doctors said that for the last two years, 18 postgraduate trainee doctors from different states are working in IGM Hospital. But it has been seen that they are not getting stipend for the last five months. They have to face various financial problems. Doctors who have left their homes and are in Tripura are now facing various problems due to non-payment of stipend.

“Although we approached the medical superintendent of the hospital several times in this regard, he is not taking any necessary action. So we have announced a strike for the whole day today” they said. 

They demand that the payment of stipend should be release as soon as possible.
