The dead body of an unidentified youth has been recovered from the city Agartala. The body of the unidentified youth recovered from under the Battala Jawahar Bridge on Friday afternoon.
Locals of the area saw the young man lying under the bridge on the road and informed the police.
The police and forensic team of rushed to the spot after getting information about the incident.
Police believe the death was due to drug overdose. Because the police official himself said that there is a constant drug consumption party under this bridge. Police said that the area has been raided several times. But this addiction continued to flourish in that area.
The police said in preliminary investigation that the young man also died due to overdose of drugs.
Meanwhile, the police recovered the dead body and sent it for post-mortem. The actual cause of death will be known only after the autopsy.
