Tripura become the hub of contraband drugs. Every day huge quantity of drugs seizing by Police.
But the flow of drug is yet to come under control. Police arrested contraband drug cough syrup worth Rs 4.5 crore on Sunday.
Based on a secret information on Sunday morning Police detained a suspect auto in Badharghat area.
According to the police the vehicle was on the way from Agartala railway station.
After searching the car AD Nagar Police Station recovered large amount of contraband cough syrup.
“The seized contraband drugs are worth Rs 4.5 crore” said police.
Police also arrested four persons with the drugs.
We lodged a case under NDPS Act and interrogating the arrested persons” said police.
