All India Democratic Students Organization placed a deputation to Shiksha Bhawan (Education Directorate) on Wednesday with five point demands including ensuring admission of all students in general degree colleges, appointment of professors in student-teacher ratio. The president of the organization Mridul Kanti Sarkar and others were present in the deputation.
Mridul Kanti Sarkar said that there is an acute shortage of professors in the general degree colleges of the state. Therefore, there is a demand to appoint sufficient number of professors in the colleges.
On the other hand, the demand is that all students get the opportunity to get admission in the colleges has also been presented to the concerned department.
A memorandum with a total of five points of demand was presented to the officer of the Higher Education Department.
“Because the government is consistently taking anti-student decisions” Said DSO.
The organization urged the people of the state to come forward to protest against it in the coming days.
