A meeting of the Central Committee of Gana Mukti Parishad was held at Dasaratha Deb Bhavan last October 8. Radha Charan Debbarma, leader of GMP, said in a press conference on Monday that the decision of movement is taken in the meeting.
In a press conference held at the CPIM state office, he said, Movement program will be organized across the state from November 15 to December on the eight-point demands.
Besides, on the occasion of the Diamond Jubilee Year celebration of the historic Jana Shiksha Dibash on December 27, a week-long program will be held from this day to January 2.
Radha Charan Debbarma also said:
After the BJP and IPFT coalition government is formed, it is observed that the Economic Structure has completely collapsed in the tribal area. In the past, the former Left Front government supported Jumias in various ways.
Jumias are not getting any kind of cooperation during the current government . As a result, the Jamias of the tribal area are facing financial crisis. REGA work is not being provided properly. Besides, other line departments work like the Forest Department and the Agriculture Department is stopped. As a result of which the people of the tribal section are facing terrible financial problems. And people are spending days in starvation and are choosing suicide, he said.
The youth are leaving the state to look for work outside the state.
