The enforcement drive against hoarding of essential items has been continuing across markets of Agartala to control the high inflation of essential items. But public yet to get relief from the high commodity price. Since, last Sunday different administrative teams under Sadar subdivisional administration have continued their enforcement drive in markets to control hoarding of all essential commodities. On Thursday also the day-long enforcement drive led by officers of Sadar subdivisional administration has been continued and they has also noticed many discrepancies on prices of all essential items. The team also continued their drive against wearing of face masks and social distancing in the market areas. “No result of such efforts. After visit of the officers, market price goes again on top” said Supriya Basak, a customer from Ronaldsy Road. “Government should fix the rate in retail commodities market including vegetables and fish-meat” said Nandan Purakayastha, a Veggies buyer.
