Ensure Minimum 75% Voters Turnout In Every Election: Modi Directs To Party Workers

Prime Minister Narendra Modi once again bats in favor of ‘one nation, one vote’. He also spoke of ‘one country, one voter list’, saying that development work is hampered by frequent voting.

The Prime Minister, while interacting with party workers across the country, expressed concern that educated, prosperous and prudent people are there in the urban areas but it can be seen that the voting rate is low there!

He asked the activists of different political parties starting from the common people to think seriously about this.

Modi also said that people of urban areas are accustomed to giving opinions on social media, but do not go to cast the vote.

On the occasion of National Voters’ Day on Tuesday, he directed the BJP’s’ Panna Pramukh and other party activists to ensure minimum 75 per cent voters turn out in each election.

During this interaction he again emphasized the need of ‘one country, one vote’ and ‘one country, one voter list’.

Modi’s this views is significant ahead of Assembly polls in five states – Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur
