Veteran Congress leader and three-time Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi’s health condition deteriorated on 21 November, Saturday, due to multiple-organ failure. Following post-COVID-19 complications, the 85-year-old veteran politician was put on Non-Invasive Ventilation since his admission at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) on 2 November. His son, Gaurav Gogoi shared the information of his deteriorating health on Twitter. “Last evening former Assam CM Tarun Gogoi’s health deteriorated so we intubated him, he was critical yesterday. His AGB (arterial blood gas) test & parameters are slightly better today” Said Abhijeet Sharma, Superintendent, Gauhati Medical College & Hospital on Sunday.
