Excise Policy Case: CBI Summons Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal

CBI has issued a notice to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for questioning in the liquor policy case.

The agency has called him to the CBI office on April 16 at 11 am. This claim is being made in media reports quoting sources associated with the Aam Aadmi Party.

After receiving the notice, Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh held a press conference. He said- The central government is conspiring to put Arvind Kejriwal in jail, but we are not afraid. Kejriwal fought against corruption by fasting for 13 days. Prime Minister, it is necessary to tell the country about the scam of lakhs of crores of rupees that you have done with your friend.

After Arvind Kejriwal’s statement in the Delhi Assembly, an attempt has been made to threaten him by giving a notice. Kejriwal or any of his leaders are neither going to bow down nor be afraid of this.

Let us inform that former Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia is in ED’s custody in this case. He was arrested by the CBI on February 26 after 8 hours of questioning.

After 7 days CBI remand, the court on March 6 sent Sisodia to Tihar Jail in judicial custody till March 20 (14 days).

Here ED had questioned the former Deputy CM of Delhi in the money laundering case related to liquor policy case, the agency had arrested Sisodia from jail itself.

Presently Manish Sisodia is in ED custody. In the last hearing, the court had extended Sisodia’s custody till April 17. The court will hear Sisodia’s bail on April 18.
