“The state government is committed to take forward the NIT Agartala” Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha said this at the 16th convocation ceremony at NIT Agartala held at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Sports Complex on Friday.
On this day, the Chief Minister said that education is the biggest tool to remove financial, social and cultural differences. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “Education is the most powerful weapon to bring change in the world”. NIT-Agartala reflects the Prime Minister’s words.
Chief Minister said on the occasion, our aim is not only to provide education, but to participate in determining the future of the country. The state government has taken initiatives to develop Tripura as an educational hub within the North Eastern region. For this reason, various steps have been taken starting from the introduction of scholarships for the backward in the society to the creation of necessary modern infrastructure. The New Education Policy 2020 has been incorporated into the education system as a key feature of this policy. In this, students will be able to compete in the world without forgetting their culture.
He said that the Prime Minister’s ‘Skill India’ and Atal Innovation Mission also emphasized the innovative talent of the present era. Inspired by these initiatives at the national level, we can see NIT Agartala as a strong center supply hub in the education sector of the state.
He therefore encouraged inclusion of the principles of ‘Skill India’ and Atal Innovation Mission in the curriculum at NIT Agartala.
Addressing the newly passed out students of NIT Agartala, Chief Minister said, Your success is the pride of all of us and your success story will inspire other students too.
He said, there are various problems in the world like climate change, change in international politics, political and ethical dilemmas in technology.
He advised the students to face these problems unitedly with values of courage, patience, education and ethics. Adopting the idea of ’Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat’, he encouraged to participate in the overall development of the country.
