Farmers’ Body Observed Black Day In Agartala To Mark Lakhimpur Kheri killings

The Sanjukta Kisan Morcha and the Central Trade Union observed nationwide black day on Tuesday for the removal and arrest of Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Ajay Mishra Teni, accused in the murder of farmers and journalist in Uttar Pradesh’s Lakhimpur Kheri on October 3, 2021. 

This protest has been observed in all the subdivisions including the capital Agartala in Tripura also.

A protest rally was organized which started from Melarmath. The Sanjukta Kisan Morcha and trade union leaders met in a road meeting at Orient Chowmuhani after traveling various routes. 

The effigy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was burned at the end of the rally.

Speaking in the meeting the leaders said, Ajay Mishra Teni is the conspirator of the incident. He should be dismissed from the post of minister and arrested. The 13 injured farmers should be compensated as per the agreement and one family member should be given a job. Cases filed against innocent farmers should be cancelled.
