On Wednesday (20 September), on the second day of the special session in the new Parliament, the Women’s Reservation Bill i.e. Nari Shakti Vandhan Act is being discussed.
During this, once again a heated argument was seen between Home Minister Amit Shah and Leader of Opposition Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary.
In fact, on behalf of Congress, Sonia Gandhi initiated the discussion on the Women’s Reservation Bill and said that her party supports it. Congress had brought this bill and this was the dream of Rajiv Gandhi.
After this, when Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Nishikant Dubey stood up to answer on behalf of the government, noise started from the opposition side and it was said that why did BJP not call the woman MP to start the discussion?
On the opposition’s protest, Home Minister Amit Shah stood up and asked Adhir Ranjan Choudhary whether only a woman can speak on the benefits of women?
He said, “I want to ask Adhir Ranjan ji whether only one woman thinks about another woman? Men can’t think? What kind of society do you think about? We have such a culture in India where a brother thinks about the benefit of women first.”
Taking a jibe at Adhir Ranjan Choudhary, he said, “Is Adhir Ranjan Choudhary not jealous of the fact that Congress did not give him a chance to speak on women’s reservation earlier?”
After this Nishikant Dubey said, “We have a Prime Minister who says that whatever I start, I also end it. If this women’s reservation bill comes here, then women will get reservation… will get… and will live together and no power in the world can stop it.
