“Tripura government is working on a multi-pronged plan for the overall development of villages and towns in the state”
This was said by the Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha in the inauguration ceremony of the Fish Transshipment Yard at Nagicherra of Mylanagar Gram Panchayat under West Tripura District on Wednesday.
According to him, solving the basic problems of the people is one of the target of the government.
” Development activities are currently underway in the state under the guidance of the Prime Minister. The establishment of fish transshipment yard at Nagichhra is a milestone of that development. In the coming days, the development of Nagicherra region will get more speed based on this” Said CM.
The Chief Minister said that the State government is working on a multi-faceted plan for the overall development of the villages and towns of the state. In this case, the development outline is being prepared keeping the forest area of the state protected. The people of the state can also enjoy the benefits of that development.
“More than 100 tons of fish come from outside the state in big trucks every day. They are unloaded in the markets in the city Agartala . As a result, massive traffic jams are created in the city and people suffer” said CM.
He claimed that the state government has taken this initiative to solve this problem of the people.
This fish transshipment yard has various facilities including canteen, drinking water, electricity. As a result, he expressed hope that local people including fish traders will also be benefited.
On this day, the chief minister said that one of the main condition for development is to maintain peace. Local entrepreneurs have expressed interest in setting up cold storage next to this fish transshipment yard.
