Food Godown With Capacity Of 500 MT Inaugurated In Sabroom

In order to strengthen the public distribution system in Tripura, a food godown with a capacity of 500 metric tons has been constructed in Srinagar, border area of ​​Sabroom under South Tripura District.

Food Minister Sushanta Chowdhury inaugurated the food godown on Monday.

Speaking in the program Chowdhury said, the present government is working with the aim of accelerating and smoothing the development of tribal areas in Tripura. The construction of this food godown will benefit the people of all parts of Srinagar area .

On this day, he said, all types of food grains including rice can be stored here in that food warehouse. Moreover, various items will be supplied from that warehouse to eight fair price shops.

He claimed that the Tripura government has constructed the food warehouses with the aim of strengthening the public distribution system as well as increasing the stock of food in the entire state.

 He expressed the hope that this new food godown will play a special role in increasing the stock of food grains in entire Sabroom sub-division.
