Gang Car Run On Newly Constructed Akhaura-Agartala Railway In Bangladesh

Gang car were run for the first time on the newly constructed Akhaura-Agartala railway in Brahmanbaria, Bangladesh.

On Wednesday (August 16) at quarter past 7 in the evening, this Gang car was run in Gangasagar railway station yard of Akhaura upazila as a preparation for the experimental train movement.

An experimental train is scheduled to run on the much-desired railway on August 22.

Bhaskar Bakshi, project manager of Akhaura-Agartala railway contractor, Texmeco Rail and Engineering Limited, said that the Gang car was run in the evening in preparation for the experimental train movement.

As the entire railway line was not fully prepared, it was operated at the Gangesagar yard. However, the remaining part of the railway line will be completed before August 22.

It should be noted that in 2018, the railway construction work started from Gangesagar in Akhaura in Brahmanbaria, Bangladesh to Nishchintpur in Agartala, India.

Notably  6 and a half kilometers have fallen on the Bangladesh section of the 10 and a half kilometer long Akhaura-Agartala railway.
