Phase ll of Indo-German Development Cooperation project, IGDC for preserving biodiversity resources launched in Tripura on Friday. The climate resilience of forest ecosystems, biodiversity and adaptive capacities of forest dependent communities in Tripura, phase ll of IGDC has been aimed at. Reducing forest degradation and increasing the income introducing sustainable climate adapted participatory management of natural resources. The project cost is 280 crore. It will be implemented across 191 villages of Dhalai and North Tripura district for seven years.
