The 77th Independence Day was celebrated with enthusiasm and fervor in Tripura along with the entire country.
The main program was officially organized at Agartala Assam Rifles Ground.
The Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha formally hoisted the national flag and accepted the greeting.
Besides, the Chief Minister hoisted the national flag at the official residence on the occasion of the 77th Independence Day celebrations.
Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha presented awards, medals and certificates in various categories for outstanding contribution in the line of duty by hoisting the national flag at the main function of the 77th Independence Day at the Assam Rifles Maidan.
On this day, the Chief Minister said that the present state government is working with firm determination keeping the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in front of the overall development process.
He added that the present government is working on new plans to build a prosperous Tripura by ensuring progress in public welfare, education, health, women empowerment, agriculture, industry, infrastructure and other areas.
