Heat Wave: Tripura Govt Decides To Close Schools

Tripura government has decided to close all government and government-aided schools in the state from April 18 to April 23 due to the threat of excessive heat wave across the state.

Besides, the authorities of all the private schools in the state have also been requested to close the schools during this time. 

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha announced this by posting on social media after a meeting with officials of the Education Department on Monday.

Summer is just begins.  there are two summer months ahead. 

The mercury has started rising even before Pahela Boisakh. From Monday morning, the sky was slightly cloudy, but as the day progressed, people began to feel the heat and sun. Intense heat flow begins to flow. The worst affected are the working class people. 

At the moment, the temperature is touching 38-39 degrees Celsius. 

However, there is a possibility of 40 degree Celsius in the next two days. And many people are getting sick due to rising mercury. 

Children and the elderly persons are feeling uncomfortable on the streets and even in their homes. Everyone from doctors to nutritionists advises to have yogurt to keep the body cool in intense heat. 

Repeated Fruit juice, coconut water, normal water are advised by the doctors to counter the heat wave.
