If Proven I Called Amit Shah Over TMC’s National Party Status, Will Resign: Mamata Banerjee

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has denied the allegations of calling Amit Shah. She said- If someone proves that I called Home Minister Amit Shah and talked about saving TMC’s national party status, then I will resign from the post of Chief Minister.

Actually, the Election Commission has canceled the national party status of Mamta Banerjee’s party All India Trinamool Congress (TMC).

After this, Leader of Opposition in Bengal Suvendu Adhikari had said on Tuesday that Mamta had requested Union Home Minister Amit Shah to cancel this decision.

Talking to the media at the state secretariat on Wednesday, Mamta said that the name of my party will remain All India Trinamool Congress.

Explain that after being stripped of the status of a national party, TMC is now a state-level party.

Mamta said that BJP is in power, so it does whatever it wants, but they do not understand that power is temporary, the chair may come and go, but democracy will remain forever.

The constitution will continue forever, there may be some amendments in it, but this constitution cannot be bulldozed. That’s why they (BJP) will not win the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections. BJP will not get more than 200 seats, she said.

On opposition unity, Mamta said that sometimes silence is good. Don’t think that the opposition is not sitting together. We all exist and everyone is in contact with each other. When the opposition comes together, it will be like a whirlwind.

Regarding Mukul Roy, Mamta said that he is BJP MLA and it is totally up to him where he goes. You should ask his son Subhranshu who has filed a missing complaint. The administration will pay attention to their complaints. Roy’s family says he is suffering from dementia and Parkinson’s disease.

.

After parting ways with TMC, Roy won the 2021 assembly elections on a BJP ticket, but later went back to the party. He accused the BJP leadership of misbehaving.
