Illegal Possession Of Graveyard: Local Residents Gharaoed Waqf Board In Dukli

Madhya Champamura graveyard under Vikram Nagar Panchayat under Dukli block in West Tripura District is 100 years old.

But recently, some people have suddenly started the construction of Kali temple of the graveyard.

Local residents gharaoed the Waqf Board demanding the release of illegal possession of the hundred-year-old graveyard.

Their demand is to solve the problem as soon as possible and take necessary measures to keep the graveyard safe.

If their demands are not met, they have warned that they will hold a larger movement in the coming days.

Local residents also complained that despite coming to the Waqf Board several times, they are not taking any initiative to solve the problem.

So on Thursday the local people have gharaoed the Waqf Board demanding to release the encroachment of the graveyard.

Later, a delegation from the residents placed a deputation to the Waqf Board.
