Inauguration Of New Parliament House Tomorrow. PM Received ‘Sengol’

Ahead of the inauguration ceremony of the new Parliament House, PM Modi  met Adhinam (saint of Tamil Nadu) Mahanta at his residence and sought his blessings. 

Adhinam Mahant handed over Sengol to Prime Minister Modi. 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the new Parliament House on Sunday. The new Parliament House will be inaugurated with Vedic rituals.  

Significantly, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said on Friday that the new Parliament House will make every Indian proud. He also shared a video of the newly constructed campus. 

Posting the video on Twitter, PM Modi also urged people to share the video with his ‘voiceover’ using the hashtag ‘My Parliament My Pride’.

Sengol will be installed near the Lok Sabha Speaker’s seat in the new Parliament House. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, former Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda and Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh, among others, are expected to be present during the formal inauguration of the new complex. 

The construction area of ​​the triangular-shaped four-storey Parliament House is 64,500 square meters. There are three main gates of this building – Gyan Dwar, Shakti Dwar and Karma Dwar.
