Government of India is taking steps to increase the number of products exported to Bangladesh through Tripura by creating necessary facilities.
Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Anupriya Patel said to increase exports from Tripura, which borders Bangladesh.
She met Manik Saha and asked him to take this step during her recent Tripura visit.
Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Anupriya Patel held a meeting with Sepahijala District Magistrate Vishal Kumar and other officials to review Bangladesh development projects and export prospects.
Regarding the meeting, Vishal Kumar said that development projects and export related issues were discussed. The state minister emphasized on increasing bilateral trade with neighboring countries by creating necessary facilities. Apart from that, Anupriya also emphasized on the value addition of rubber in that meeting. Because the north-eastern states have abundant resources of natural rubber.
Meanwhile, the businessmen of Bangladesh are also excited by this news. Bangladeshi businessmen think that if the import of various products from Tripura to Bangladesh increases, then Bangladesh will benefit more. If the export of goods from Tripura increases, at some point the export of goods from Bangladesh to Tripura will also increase.
On the one hand, it takes much less time to import and export goods and the cost of transportation is also much less. As a result, both countries can benefit.
The import-export of goods from both countries will become much easier and after a few days train service with Tripura will start.
It has been informed by the two governments that the train movement will start very soon. Any day, the two Prime Ministers of India and Bangladesh will inaugurate the train service on this train line through video.
The businessmen of the two countries want to increase trade between Tripura and Bangladesh. What is needed now is the development of the highest level of agreement and communication between the two governments. Only then will it benefit both countries.
