India has staked claim to host the Olympic Games. PM Narendra Modi said in the 141st session of IOC on Saturday (October 14) that India is very excited to organize the Olympics on its soil. India will leave no stone unturned in its efforts to ensure that the Olympics are held here in the year 2036. This is the years-old dream of 140 crore Indians.
Modi said that before this, India also wants to organize the Youth Olympics to be held in 2029. I am confident that India will get the consent of IOC for this.
He further said that it is a matter of pride to have an IOC session in our country.
PM Modi congratulated Team India for its victory in the India-Pakistan Cricket World Cup match.
He said that everyone is happy to hear that the IOC Executive Board has requested to include cricket in the Olympics. We are confident that soon we will get some positive news in this direction.
Earlier, IOC President Thomas Bach said that it is a great honor to welcome you all to the 141st IOC session in Mumbai. We are very happy to come to India. India is a country which is progressing in many ways including the Olympic Games.
IOC member Nita Ambani said that after 40 years, it is an honor for us to host this historic session of IOC in India and for the first time in Mumbai. I am very happy that PM Modi is also with us today.

The IOC session is an important meeting of committee members, in which decisions are taken regarding the future of the Olympic Games.
IOC is being organized in India for the second time after 40 years. Earlier in the year 1983, India had hosted the 86th session of IOC
