India Is The Mother Of Democracy: PM Modi In ‘Summit for Democracy 2023’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the ‘Summit for Democracy 2023’ on Wednesday.

Addressing this summit, he described India as the mother of democracy and said that democracy is not just a structure but also a soul. It is based on the belief that the needs and aspirations of every human being are equally important.

Prime Minister Modi said that today India is the fastest growing economy despite many global challenges. This itself is the best example of democracy in the world. Today every initiative of our government is governed by the collective efforts of the citizens of India.

PM Modi said that the pace of our economy is moving forward despite all the challenges. Today, India has become a different identity of democracy in the whole world. We have told other countries how democracy works and what it means to have it.

He further said that whether it is efforts to deal with climate change or conservation of water, it is the collective efforts of every citizen of India. During the Corona period, our ‘Vaccine Friendship’ initiative provided millions of vaccines to the world. It was inspired by our spirit of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’, which in essence means that the whole world is one kutumb, one family.
