India Need Resolution Of Important Issues

In a parliamentary democracy, there is a need for continuous discussion on the sources of nation building.

For the last eight years, there is a flow of hope and enthusiasm in different areas of national life. India’s reputation has increased at the international level, but despite the optimistic environment, consensual national interest discussions do not go on.

Here ridiculous discussions make a dent in the original discussion. Just now a leader called his big leader as Ram and himself as Bharat.

Earlier, a leader of this party had discovered Jihad in Gita. Many subjects like national unity, integrity, economics and building a powerful nation demand constant national discussion.

The executive, legislature and judiciary are the basic constitutional institutions. Their reputation is important. Decent discussion is necessary on their work and responsibility.

Environment and global warming is an international concern. There is a need for continuous national discussion on all these.

The working hours of Parliament and Legislatures are decreasing. There is no meaningful discussion even on important bills. House obstruction is a deep national concern.

Lakhs of cases are pending in the courts. There are no national discussions to speed up the judicial system.

The fundamental question is whether in the year 2023 a consensus can be reached on the issues of national discourse.

The question is big. For this, a consensus list should be prepared on major subjects of national concern. Parties and opposition should make a joint effort to build a consensus.

In this, first there should be a consensus on the selection of issues and then there should be joint efforts. Thereafter, common action should be agreed upon to address those issues. With this the impossible can also be made possible.

There were many hurdles in the Goods and Services Tax i.e. GST. Some people are calling it impractical. There was meaningful discussion on that and GST came into existence. With the continuous increase in tax collection, its benefits are now visible.

Similarly, the issue of appointment of judges seems to be complicated in one way or the other. The National Judicial Appointments Commission (NJAC) was ratified by both the Houses of Parliament and more than half of the State Legislatures.

It had become the law of India. The Hon’ble Court called it against the basic structure of the Constitution. While the basic structure is not mentioned in the constitution itself.

There is respect for the Supreme Court in the country. It is the interpreter and guardian of the constitution, But there is a need for a deep national discussion on the subject of judicial appointment.

Due to the quality and dynamism of the administration, the work of public welfare schemes is completed quickly. Obstacles are resolved quickly.

The Election Commission is also accused by some parties. The Election Commission is an independent constitutional body.

Such allegations become international discredit for the world’s largest democracy. This important topic is outside the national discourse.

Politics is the most active sector of Indian democracy. There are many contradictions in the internal structure of the parties. Thoughtful political campaigns are at their core national discourse. They have an impact on the public, but the language of campaign and discussion is often not polite.

Accusations and counter-allegations increase enmity. Running a sustained national discussion on politics is not a difficult task.

Ideal party system is indispensable for the success of democracy. The subject of official language has been sensitive. Language is the conductor of culture.

There is discussion in the country on cultural renaissance. There is a need to build a common platform with all stakeholders and proceed accordingly.

Leftist historians and writers have been describing Indian culture as composite-composite. They consider India as a country of many cultures.

Of course, the customs of different states may differ, but all are inseparable-integral parts of sovereign India. Culture is one. Sense of history is an essential sense of pride for all nations.

The country is deprived of real historical sense. History was distorted for vested selfish reasons.

Many dignitaries including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah have insisted on the rewriting of real history.

There are also facts that history has been manipulated. History needs to be written from a factual scientific point of view.

In the year 2023, there are hopes of a national discussion on all such national issues, questions and challenges.

It is hoped that the hardworking social workers of their respective fields, honorable justices and all the dignitaries working by taking the oath of the constitution will come forward to conduct such discussions.

In the new year, all parties should also come on one platform for national discussion. Shared thoughts and shared resolutions are the need of the hour.
