India and Pakistan on Sunday exchanged lists of nuclear installations and facilities covered under the Agreement on the Prohibition of Attacks on Nuclear Installations and Facilities between the two countries.
India and Pakistan notify each other about nuclear installations and facilities on January 1 of every calendar year, as per the provision of the December 31, 1988 agreement, which came into force on January 27, 1991.
India-Pakistan have also handed over lists of civilians and fishermen lodged in each other’s jails.
The Ministry of External Affairs has said Pakistan that 434 of their prisoners are lodged in Indian jails.
Of these, 339 are civilians and 95 are fishermen. Pakistan has also shared the list of 705 Indian prisoners. It states that 51 civilians and 654 fishermen are lodged in their jails.
India has demanded Pakistan to release its Indian prisoners at the earliest.
The Ministry of External Affairs said that those whose sentence has been completed and it has been confirmed that they are Indians, then release them.
