“Neermahal is one of the attractive tourist spots in the state. The state government has taken initiatives to make Neermahal more attractive to foreign tourists. Apart from this, the rooms inside the Neeramhal are also being renovated”
This was said by Chief Minister Professor Dr. Manik Saha at the closing ceremony of the traditional Neeramhal Jal Utsav at Rajghat, Melagher under Sepahijala District on Sunday.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister inaugurated the long distance swimming competition and boating competition.
At the closing ceremony, Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha expressed his feelings on getting the opportunity to enjoy boating in the Rudrasagar for the first time and said that the long distance swimming and boating competitions made the festival more lively.
“The state government has taken initiatives to make the Neeramahal Jal Utsav more attractive in the coming days and to highlight the Neeramahal of the royal era on the world tourism map” said CM.
A colorful cultural program was organized on the occasion of the closing ceremony. It should be noted that the 3-day long traditional Neermahal Jal Utsav started on October 6.
