The first shipment of 958 tonnes of rods from India was taken from Ashuganj sea port in Brahmanbaria, Bangladesh to Tripura via Akhaura land port.
On Monday afternoon, the rods were unloaded i0n from Bangladeshi trucks in Akhaura land port, Agartala.
According to the report, Tata Steel’s 958 ton rod was loaded on a ship named MV Bolkar on January 7 from Haldia port in Kolkata.
The ship arrived at Ashuganj port on Saturday (January 21) evening and anchored.
Later from Ashuganj river port it was taken by road to Agartala through Akhaura land port.
The rods are being procured for a company called M/s SM Corporation of Agartala, Tripura.
These goods are being transported under the Indo-Bangla Protocol on Inland Water Transit and Trade.
