The entire state of Tripura including Agartala is burning in summer heat. Especially the state of the capital Agartala.
The daytime maximum temperature mercury has already crossed the 38 degree Celsius during last 24 hours and the minimum temperature is fluctuating between 24 and 25 degree Celsius.
Meteorological department forecast says that this sweltering hot condition will continue for a few more days and it will increase.
Other districts of the state witnessed light rains and thunderstorms, but Agartala had no impact.
The Meteorological Department could not hear the hope that it will rain in these few days.
As a result, the heat is felt more. In this condition, loo flows in the afternoon, so people do not leave the house unless it is very necessary. And those who are going out are relying on cold water with cans to escape from the heat.
People are now consuming coconut water, so the demand for coconut has increased a lot. One coconut is being sold at Rs 50 to 60. But a few days ago the same size coconut was sold for 40 rupees.
Coconut salers of Kaman Chowmuhani area of Agartala said that the demand for coconut has increased so much that the plant owners are not able to supply it. So there is nothing surprising if one coconut is sold at the price of 80 rupees in the coming days.
Meanwhile, to escape from the heat, teenagers and youths have been observed in the Agartala college lake and other ponds in the afternoon. They said, this is a good way to escape from the heat.
